How can we make Guild Launch better?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

    World of Tanks is the current #1 shooter on the web. How about some templates ,tools, widgets game specific? Any plans?

  2. Character List Update

    Hello, could you please update the Vindictus character list? As it stands all characters but once are listed.

    "Karok" is the only character that remains to be listed and if you could please update this it would be greatly appreciated, thanks =)

  4. EQ1 Missing Trakanon and Vulak`Aer and Al'Kabor server choices for characters

    EQ1 had the characters choices updated recently, but the servers are still missing. Notably, Vulak, Trakanon, and Al'Kabor (maybe others) are not a listed option for characters

  5. Update Everquest race/class and Servers

    I posted this over a week ago in the old forums and got a reply of "I'll update the information in the next day or so."

    Still isn't updated, can we please get an update to this?

    This was updated the day it was posted on the old forums. I just reviewed the list presented and all the race/class combos listed are present, and all the servers on the server list were updated.

    The guild roster for the game Wakfu should have an additional option to display the character's nation, as this is a crucial part of the gameplay.

    Wakfu is now updated to properly display Nation and the new classes.

  7. I am having a small issue with the attendance function of RapidRaid due to the fact that we often run two raids at the same time.

    I am having a small issue with the attendance function of RapidRaid due to the fact that we often run two raids at the same time. Both raids automatically lose 50% attendance due to not being in each others raids.

    We can't combine them into a single raid since often one raid will progress further or use a difficulty setting which results in different DKP rewards.

    Is there anyway to get around this issue already? Or could attendance be applied to eveyone who attended on a specific date or something?

    This can be managed within the same raid by having three events: one as an Attendance event, a second for Raid 1 and a third for Raid 2.

    That way everyone gets attendance, the raiders in the first raid get the appropriate DKP and the raiders in the second get theirs.

  8. Simplify

    Difficult to use. Do you have a walk through or guide for something simple? I would prefer to read something to understand how to use it, but sometimes a visual aid helps. I have used Proboards for most of my blogs, so this is my first time using a site that is significantly higher in quality. I want to make my site look good if not better than what other factions use. You should also offer more than one picture for PWI backgrounds. Not everyone likes seeing a half naked woman load on the page.

    We have streamlined the admin menu with a recent release to make things more simple and straightforward.

  9. LOTRO: Add the new instances/raid to the Raid Progression widget

    The instances and the raid that were made avaliable with Update 5 haven't been added yet to the Raid Progession widget. It's already almost three months since the Update was out and they still weren't added.

  10. Guild Audits

    I'd like to be able to see a list of who's visited the site and who is neglecting it. I want my Officers to visit at least once per week, but currently there is no way to see if they have or haven't.

    I see the activity logs which shows if they did something while here, but not if they came and viewed stuff and left.

    The ‘Members’ tab of the Admin menu displays last login dates.

  11. Guild Rule Acceptance Verification before Applying

    Recruiting/applications is one area that I feel GuildLaunch lacks adversity in and is the one reason I keep looking at other website providers. A couple of features that I would like to see added to GuildLaunch are:

    1. Linking of Guild Rules to Applications: Applicants are directed to the Guild Rules page before being directed to the actual Application. They must click a verification button that they agree to the guild rules and to proceed with applying.

    2. Auto Polls for Applications. Currently, moderators have to go into each application post, edit it, and add a poll for accepting or rejecting. An…

    While this isn’t an automated feature, Anonymous has a great idea that works well in our system:

    “We normally just add a required yes/no response with a link to the guild rules on the app.

    Something else that’s worked well for me in the past is REMOVING the application widget from the front page. Instead, I add an HTML widget in the large, main section that is visible only to non-members. The HTML widget contains the guild rules and anything else that’s essential for people to know prior to joining the guild. At the bottom, it has a link that says “I agree – take me to the application!” "

  12. SWTOR progression widget needs love

    For the SWTOR progression widget, is it possible to have displays that are a bit more telling?

    Such as:
    8 man
    8 man hard
    8 man nightmare
    16 man
    16 man hard
    16 man nightmare

    This is something that is sorely lacking, and was request a long time ago. Progression "showing off" is a main drive for many guilds. Other types of guild sites have this feature, and for guildlaunch to have taken so long to implement such a simply but crucial feature is rather inexcusable imo.

    We recently released a new, improved UI for the admin menu.

  14. Notifications Toolbar

    GuildLaunch should develop a notifications toolbar that can float at the bottom of the screen that gives you application, email, and friend updates when you're logged in. You could also make it into a floating login or register bar when someone is not logged in or not yet a member of the site. I think it would be a nice alternative to the static login in and condensed toolbar on the top right hand side of each site.     This is already a feature – click the Widgets link at the top right when logged into a guild site and you can drag-and-drop them.

  16. Auto-update the guild members achievements widget

    Get the guild members achievements widget to update automatically when the roster is automatically updated. Also, fix the problem with it not pulling across character names properly when those names have special characters such as é and á.

  17. Option to choose different feeds for LOTRO game news

    Currently, the LOTRO game news feed comes from the LOTRO vault website. That website is very out of date regarding LOTRO news and is still showing news items from 2010 as recent news. Suggest either pulling the news feed directly from the LOTRO website or give admins the option to choose which fan site the news feed comes from. Thanks.
