This is an area where Gamer Launch users can suggest ideas on how to improve Gamer Launch functionality! When opening an idea, be sure to check out our Feature Request article for some guidelines.

How can we make Guild Launch better?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

    While users can add this information to their guild site, it’s not something to be done system-side.

  2. Character's do all games need them?

    Be able to get rid of the character section of the roster for games that dont require it, ie COD

  3. Arenanet is developing an external talk aplication to chat ingame.

    Hi, I followed Arenanet closely during the 5 year development. In the beginning they told everyone about an application that they were developing that let you talk in the game through the use of a browser or mobile device. This way people could easily contact each other. Maybe it's not a bad idea to contact arenanet for these plans and if they are still working in it.

    This is definitely an interesting idea, but I’m not finding any information on it. :(

  4. Guild "News" widget link or RSS feed to Facebook group

    A widget that would feed Guild News to a chosen Facebook group page would be perfect as Facebook has removed this option from their end of things.

    This is something we’ve discussed, but are not planning to implement at this time.

  9. Async Partial Page Loading

    Most, if not all, of the pages on the guild sites do full page postbacks which is inefficient and slow, particularly when browsing galleries, etc. This is the most basic feature in almost all modern websites, and while it potentially poses some technical challenges for implementation, it is a much needed feature and will vastly reduce bandwidth needs, as well as greatly improve the user experience.

  10. Modify the News Image Slider or create a new widget for seamless effort between posting

    When we use the Guild News widget, it generates a RSS Feed based on our settings that we choose (like most recent 5 posts over the last 3 months).

    I was wondering if there was a way to turn the News Image Slider (or make a new widget) into a widget that pulls from the Guild News RSS Feed or pulls from the forum of our choice much like how the Guild News widget already works.

    Kind of just a curious thought - I'm not sure how it could be implemented.

    The goal would be to update a Announcement post…

  11. Add claim link to roster search results

    Add claim link to guild roster search results. This would make the process of people searching for newly added alts and claiming them a LOT easier.

  12. Make a "select all" button for the gallery to be able to delete all images. Or be able to delete the gallery with all the pictures inside.

    A "select all" button for the galleries. Or be able to delete the galley with all the pictures inside.

    The way it is now, i have to single handedly select every image to delete, then delete the gallery. It gets really annoying having to go through 300 images and delete every one.

  13. Attendance report filter "last X raids"

    Date Range filter currently allows "# of days" "system lifetime" "char lifetime" ... i recommend making one for "# of raids".

    I have to keep going in there and changing the # of days filter to allow me to see attendance percentages for the last 10 raids and the last 30 raids.... if we raided everyday of the week this wouldn't be an issue because they are the same, but we don't, so its extremely annoying to have to adjust that number everyday to keep the correct # of raids displayed.

    A simple app, maybe like that of WoW armory could be created in a matter of days and live in a few weeks.

    We are not currently planning to work on an app for WoW specifically, but we are planning to do more mobile development.

  15. Guild Summary Widget - ability to show only main chars

    Currently we have 71 characters in roster but just 32 members total. I'd like the ability to only show Main characters on the Guild Summary Widget to show a more accurate representation how big our guild is.

    You could make a profile page less chaotic by separating it with lines, or by putting frameworks around the sections.

    We are going to revisit the user profile in the future, but we are not currently planning to make these specific changes to it at this time.

  17. Articles

    The idea is a combination of regular Forum Posting and Custom Pages. Users of a specific rank could post articles using the diverse HTML abilities of Custom Pages (Forums can be very limiting and therefore don't always provide the effect the user is going for). It would work like Forums in that users can comment and even search for Articles through use of a "tag" or other search system. All Articles would be kept listed on a common "homepage" where users could scroll through or search in the aforementioned way for an Article that interests them. The "homepage" would list…

    Is there anyway to make it so that you can have individual forum icon so that i can customize my forum with icons that represent things instead of one icon for everything

    You can change the forum icons globally, but it is not currently planned to make it so that you can change icons for one specific forum.

  19. Show the avatar on the clan roster similar to the widget "Last Forum Posts"

    It would also encourage members to upload an avatar if they can see others have done it. It would also be a place where we can see all avatars without clicking on each character.

    This may be something we revisit in a future release, but is not currently planned, as there is limited space available on the roster.

  20. Shopping Cart

    Is there a way to add like a paypal shopping cart, like for tshirts and other clan materials, some like the idea of donations, but some want to know they get something of choice, would love to see a shopping cart widget for paypal to add items for sale

    This is not something we are currently planning to implement on our end, but you can add a link to an eBay store, CafePress store or something like that to the primary navigation menu or an Amazon Affiliate widget to an HTML widget.
