This is an area where Gamer Launch users can suggest ideas on how to improve Gamer Launch functionality! When opening an idea, be sure to check out our Feature Request article for some guidelines.

How can we make Guild Launch better?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

    This is something that you can do with an Alliance site – essentially, using the Advanced Alliance functionality, you can have a hub of guild sites that share a memberbase.

  2. Guild Specific Awards:

    What I am asking for, is a way to add awards to my guild member's profiles for specific things. When I say awards, I mean ribbons and medals that they can earn for doing specific things within the guild.

    As and example: John Doe (character name JD) builds and completes construction of a market in the guild colony. He receives a guild given medal (or ribbon) which will grant him the rights to access that award and post if either under his profile picture and/or in his signature.

    Another Example: Jane Doe (character name QA) receives an guild given medal…

    This functionality is available on the ‘Awards’ tab of the site-side guild roster. You can assign awards to users that they can display on their user profile based on things they do for the guild.

  4. Can you add a way to make a video uploader?

    I would like a way to add videos to my site. Like game guides or clan guides. It would be nice.

    If you upload them to your Youtube channel, you can then use the HTML embed code from those videos and embed them in your GL site. :)

    Our Premium Plus and Ultimate subscription plans include voice servers which can be used for this purpose. :)

  6. Please install a 3rd party application that allows us to view viewers using the chat voice system. It will make it easier for the Admins.

    It will make it easier for the admins. Also try setting up the voice server through a well known client like Ventrilo or TeamSpeak. So Admins for the Guild can easierly reach each other if there is a problem. We are not in the same time zone.

    There are currently status widgets for TS3, Mumble and Ventrilo that will show who is logged into your voice server. :)

    There is a Teamspeak 3 widget available in the system already. :)

  8. I don't see my server listed

    I see the game Puzzle Pirates already listed which is great! The server I use is Emerald and it is not in the list. Will you please add it? Thank you, Texas

    You can use Rapid Raid or the site calendar for this already – changing the name of the tab from ‘Rapid Raid’ to ‘Territory Wars’ (on the Admin side, under Site Structure – Primary Nav) should do what you’re describing.

  16. SWTOR progression widget needs love

    For the SWTOR progression widget, is it possible to have displays that are a bit more telling?

    Such as:
    8 man
    8 man hard
    8 man nightmare
    16 man
    16 man hard
    16 man nightmare

    This is something that is sorely lacking, and was request a long time ago. Progression "showing off" is a main drive for many guilds. Other types of guild sites have this feature, and for guildlaunch to have taken so long to implement such a simply but crucial feature is rather inexcusable imo.

  17. Notifications Toolbar

    GuildLaunch should develop a notifications toolbar that can float at the bottom of the screen that gives you application, email, and friend updates when you're logged in. You could also make it into a floating login or register bar when someone is not logged in or not yet a member of the site. I think it would be a nice alternative to the static login in and condensed toolbar on the top right hand side of each site. Often I have people ask where the register button is because they don't expect it to be above the sites header. Maybe…

  18. Auto-update the guild members achievements widget

    Get the guild members achievements widget to update automatically when the roster is automatically updated. Also, fix the problem with it not pulling across character names properly when those names have special characters such as é and á.

    There is a currently a guild chat feature for guild sites, with planned functionality for private messaging within the guild chat.

    We have currently opened our own Minecraft server to the public and added a Minecraft template (with more to come).
