Time zone correlation between user/website and calendar does not seem to work.
There are 3 settings, which I am either misinterpreting or are not working properly having to do with time zones. There is a time zone setting per user, and per the website, and then there are calendar events. After some thought, I don't understand why the website itself has a time zone, as the only purpose I can think of has to do with the calendar. Problem details: I have set the "website timezone" to CST with DST turned on. My user has EST timezone with DST turned on. I created a calendar event at 6pm with 12 weekly repeats. I then changed my user time zone to CST with DST turned on to check and make sure it shows correctly on the calendar for my users. The time still shows as 6pm on the calendar instead of 5pm, which is what I expected. I found a support article stating it can take some time to update time zone, so I waited awhile and it still did not update. Please help.
Timezones are working properly on the site. If you still have questions please email support@guildlaunch.com and we can work with you on any particular questions.

The site has a timezone so that the system knows what "5pm" means when you create an event. The time of the event doesn't change if you change the timezone because it is still 5pm, just now in that new timezone.
You are not seeing a change in the time because the event is still taking place at 5pm.
Since many multi-national gaming groups organize around the time of their game's server the most useful way to think of the "site" time is often "server" time. Then, you schedule an event in that timezone and users see the times in that timezone. The site time is the "common" timezone that events are scheduled in since "5pm" means nothing without a timezone.
If you hover over the event time on the calendar you will see the time of that event converted into the timezone that your user profile is configured for.
Much of the purpose of this is to keep users from saying "What time does this happen? Oh 6 o'clock, awesome!" Then a person a timezone away thinks that is 6pm local and it isn't. Given that we show the time and the timezone and then convert to their local on the hover.
