How can we improve our V5 options?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. Guild Roster display

    Will you be adding ways to customize the way the Guild Roster (both members and characters) displays by default? I do not particularly care for the default grid view that shows for either option. Plus by having the character roster default to a grid view it adds an additional step to the character claiming process (not a super big deal, but still). I also like the sortability of the list views. The grid views are nice to look at, but not very easy to find particular names.

    A list option is now available for members list. A claim link is now on the default grid view for characters. Sorting is available on the list view. I believe the items in this uservoice item have been addressed. If you have additional feedback please open a new feedback item so we can track it separately.

  2. Widget for LIVE displaying online users

    Can you create a widget to show the online users LIVE, like in the full page of chat?
    The current "Online Members" widget is not live and is updated only when you refresh the page, while the online users in the full page chat are shown LIVE, automatically, with no refresh needed.

    This has been completed and released. This funcdtionality has been enabled on the Who’s Online Widget for V5 sites. Enjoy!

  3. Thread View counter!

    I'd like to see the Thread view counter back in V5,it was useful to see if people read the thread and how many did (even tho they didn't reply). Esp useful for Sticky posts etc.

    This is now completed. The view count shows as a smaller number under the reply count. Enjoy!

  4. Choosing Forum Icon Sets

    I know in V4 there was an option in the dashboard where you could go into a template builder and choose icon sets for the forums. I am having problems finding this option in V5. I can't find it in the Style Editor, and also can't seem to find it in the dashboard area. Currently the icons I did have have disappeared, so there are no icons in my forums and I would like to fix that. :) Are we still able to choose icon sets from a visual approach, or does that have to be done with custom coding…

    The forum icon customization has been readded to the Features → Forums section of Admin on V5 sites.

  5. Allow me to stay logged in after closing the window or navigating away before returning to the site.

    The website logs me out, despite my having selected the option to "remember me on this computer."

    This issue has been resolved. Thanks for reporting the issue so we could track it down.

  6. show full date of last post on forums

    Currently the date of last post shown on forums is in the format month, day, time ... there is no year. You have a lot of sticky posts on your forums which I keep re-reading because it seems to have had a "recent" post on it, but it turns out it was a year (or more) ago. Can we have the year back as well please? :-)

    A year is now displayed on forum post dates if the post is greater than 90 days old.

  7. Hard to distinct new PMs.

    New Private Messages aren't highlighted or anything... See the attached screenshot:)

  9. Characters search is not working

    When searching for a Character on Guild Roster > Characters, it always displays 0 found.

    For example, http://www.wowkaos.com/roster/ingame.php?roster_mode=characters&guild_game_id=153505&gid=276219

    http://www.wowkaos.com/search/index.php?gid=48&intSearchSize=15&search=Gurukaos&intSearchType%5B%5D=4&chkGuild=on&sumbit=Submit (shows 0 found, I tried a few different names)

    But as you can see, that Character is on page 15, http://www.wowkaos.com/roster/ingame.php?no_min_roster=&roster_mode=&paging_page=14&sorter=&guild_game_id=153505&gid=276219

  10. V5 Wiki: Bring WYSIWYG Editor back

    Using V5 there seems to be no WYSIWYG editor for Wiki pages anymore.

    I think this functionality should be brought back as V4 Wiki featured the WYSIWYG editor and having no option for any kinds of formatting is a real problem.

    Moreover without the WYSIWYG editor you haven't even access to the HTML source, so there is absolutely no option to do any kind of formatting at all.

    If trying to copy-paste an existing (V4) Wiki page all formattings are removed (tested with Chrome 39 and IE11).

  11. Create a hover tooltip for forums for status icons

    There is a little icon on posts indicating their status (announcement, hot topic, etc) .. which is cool, but it would be nice if there was a hover tooltip appear when you hovered over the icon, telling you what it meant. Preferably with a delay in place so that the tooltip only appeared when the user deliberately paused over the icon - not when they were simply moving the cursor past that location.

    There is now a browser standard tooltip on each icon. The icons have also been moved to the beginning of the title so that they are easier to scan and see announcements vs stickies vs moved, etc.

  12. Improve header adjustment between templates

    Both the standard headers and uploaded ones don't auto-adjust correctly across the three templates .. currently they only look correct on one. For the standard ones at the very least, they need to look right across all of the templates, even if this means that, instead of making one graphic auto-adjust across the three templates, you provide three different sizes of graphic (one for each template) .. so that when you switch template it calls the correct sized header.

    On mobile, the reply counter counts the OP as 1 reply. Also, the word "Replies" should be right justified instead of centered.

  14. Forum width increase: allow us to remove one sidebar but not the other.

    I want to get more forum space by removing the widgets on the right, but keep the ones on the left. Currently I can't do this; it's all-or-nothing.

    I’ve looked at this again, and the extra width is not always shown during preview or upon exiting the Widget mode. However, upon leaving preview mode and refreshing the page the extra width is taken up by the forum. Can you please check this and let me know if you still see the issue? We will investigate the preview mode, but if a refresh makes it display properly then this is a less serious issue.

  15. Disable Widget columns in forums

    We like to have wide forums .. even if you disable sidebar widgets in the Admin section, all that does is remove the content in those columns .. the actual area where that content was is not released to increase the width of the forums. This applies to all three current template choices.

  16. Restore the "Post As" functionality

    In v4 you could select a claimed character to display when you were posting. In v5 you can still select a claimed user but the forum does not display it.

  17. V5 wiki WYSIWYG editor missing core features

    The current WYSIWYG editor lacks core features. For instance, it's not possible to add external links or to swap to HTML editing.

    The wiki now has the proper options enabled. We upgraded the WYSIWYG editor when moving to V5 and a few options have been renamed and we didn’t catch it. If you see anything else missing please let us know. Thanks!

  18. Empty forum thread cloning

    I think this is a bug but. If there are no threads in a forum the "Latest Post" just copies over from the first thread above that has one

    I'd like to see the avatar of the latest poster instead of creator of the thread on forums,it gets confusing who posted what sometimes. Atm it shows the Creator's avatar but the name of latest poster..

  20. Insert/Edit Image "OK" Button not working.

    Insert/Edit Image "OK" Button not working to add pictures from Gallery, photobucket, imgur. The button is there but clicking it does nothing
