How can we improve our V5 options?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

    We are done with Turkey and starting to roll out V5 updates. This is now fixed! Enjoy!

  3. Every "Preview" in WYSIWYG a paragraph is added at the bottom to the post ("<p>&nbsp;</p>").

    This has been fixed. The extra spacing will only be added in the case of quotes (to provide space to type below the quote)

  4. The Calendar doesn't do the words hyphenation properly (example: "RP EVENT: First Step int--o a Larger W--orld")

  5. Can't find a way to manually update the Roster

    The admin page for the roster points to the actual website roster page, stating there is a side-link to manually update .. but I can't find it.

    The wording and link has been changed to reflect V5 changes (if the site is V5)

  6. The colour schemes fall off the page ...

    Under Colour Theme > Colour Schemes there are lots of "wheels" of colours to pick from .. but they continue on off the bottom of the screen (the very last one that I can see .. which is only the very top of the "wheel", is called theme-color-accentyellow.

    This bug is fixed. The color wheels are now all happy to present themselves for clicking.

  7. Include a "go to latest post" option in the forums

    In V4 there is a little icon next to a posters name, on the forums, that you can click on to go to the latest post. I don't see this in V5. Meaning that, for a long thread, you have to go into the thread and then click on the page number to get to the end.

    The ‘by’ line for the Latest Post now reads:
    ‘Latest by User’ – Latest links to the most recent post directly. We considered using an icon, but this implementation seemed both clearer and more mobile friendly.

  8. Built in Logo creator?

    Since the guild logo creator at http://www.siglaunch.com/guild_header/index.php isn't working anymore, how about building something like that into V5? So we can at least have some cool looking text (guild name?) show up in the header/logo area. That would help some of us who are challenged with graphic design. ;)

    The log creator on Siglaunch is now fixed. We are also working on embedding the functionality directly into V5 customization, but that is for a later update.

  10. Upload in File Library not working in Google Chrome

    Redid my guild a bit, and I went to update the tabard.png file in my File Library, and using Chrome when I clicked "Upload" nothing would happen. Even temporarily switching my site back to version 4 did not fix the problem. Looking at the differences though between how it is displayed in both browsers, the "upload" button is crowded your file selection tool, and might be rendered useless because of that, whereas on Firefox there is a definite space between the two.
    I was able to switch to Firefox and upload with no problem.

  11. Not sure if this is a bug, but custom pages can't be edited with WYSIWYG

    http://www.wowkaos.com/custom.php?page_id=100041&gid=276219 when I use the WYSIWYG editor it, it wants to edit the page in HTML? This page was made with V4 a long time ago so I am not sure if that has anything to do with it?

    This is now fixed and using the most recent editor version in V5. Thanks for the report!

  12. The widgets only visible for site's non-members have the "Move" handle missing in "Edit Witgets" mode.

    This seems to be a change in behavior for Firefox 34+. We’ve implemented, and released, the fix. Let us know if you see any issue still.

    The headers are now loaded as thumbnails to improve load times.
