1. custom HTML using external editor

   I have web tools in firefox and the ability to edit the index html file, problem is you cant use the tools to on this website by right clicking the page and cliking edit source/generated source with external editer. i can open the generated source and source but cant save it back after i edit it. have to use a html widget, then lose the page upgrades, or oframe it, stil lose the upgrades, Just allow export and imports of custom pages. what you have now is so small even for drag and drop it does not appear in the same spot after update.

   Looking for mods that were operational for DK online. Like aa addon that updated whats in your guild warehouse, and an addon that updated Members characters info (lvl, rank) automatically, and their equiptment.

   This is something we would like to be able to do, but their API doesn’t currently support it.

3. For the rapid raid item entering, can we enter items byname and a checkbox/pulldown with the varying ilevel? instead of having to search

   Let us enter items by name + a pulldown/checkbox to differentiate between different item level versions. Having to enter items by item ID number to get the proper mouseover is a lot of extra work.

   This is not something we currently plan to implement, but you can do this with a Raids category, a Tactics forum and an individual subforum for each raid!

6. Don't Drunk the Kids

   I have been role playing for almost 40 years. I remember when ... and that is enough said. That being the case I like a variety of RPG experiences. My gaming clan is a multi-gaming clan. Our main focus right now is in The Secret World, Star Trek Online, and Star Wars: the Old Republic. One of those games is rated as Mature in the ESRB or PEGI 18. Some games are even rated Adult Only (in example: Call of Duty World at War). Many games are now also rated Mature because those of us that started off with Pong, Missile Command, Joust, and Pack-Man are now two or even three times the age of 21.

   Currently Guild Launch attempts to make sure all members are at least 13, but the games available, the games played by the working employed people, are likely to be for those over 18 who have those under 18 in the house. And let's face it, there is no way to get a 13 year old to verify their age with their credit card - or there shouldn't be. But we have a moral, if not a legal, obligation to consider age appropriate material when setting up a posting system. To allow families to participate in the same guild, while still making room for the difference between mature interests and those they share with their teens.

   What I am recommending:

   1) The ability to request birth date on the member application.
   2) The ability to set which ratings system the guild will use as a standard (ESRB or PEGI).
   3) The ability to create forums, gallery sections, and automatically tag character biographies from games based on the game rating.
   4) The ability of a member to check their post or image as being within a certain rating.
   5) The ability of a moderator or admin to edit the rating of posted materials accordingly.
   6) The ability to access forums, gallery sections, and character biographies be based on the ESRB rating.
   7) Guilds would have the option not to set a rating system for their site, and not bother with these mechanics.

   Ratings available for Euro-centered gamers would be: Rating Pending, General, PEGI 12, PEGI 16, and PEGI 18. Ratings available for American centered gamers would be: Rating Pending, General, Teen, Mature, Adults Only. Rating Pending and General are categories of necessity to cover general public areas where best behavior is always expected (and language filters should be on fingers) and games that have not been rated.

   Below are the PEGI and ESRB ratings that would apply to Guild Launch supported communities.

   Pan European Game Information
   PEGI 12: Videogames that show violence of a slightly more graphic nature towards fantasy character and/or non graphic violence towards human-looking characters or recognisable animals, as well as videogames that show nudity of a slightly more graphic nature would fall in this age category. Any bad language in this category must be mild and fall short of sexual expletives.
   PEGI 16: This rating is applied once the depiction of violence (or sexual activity) reaches a stage that looks the same as would be expected in real life. More extreme bad language, the concept of the use of tobacco and drugs and the depiction of criminal activities can be content of games that are rated 16.
   PEGI 18: The adult classification is applied when the level of violence reaches a stage where it becomes a depiction of gross violence and/or includes elements of specific types of violence. Gross violence is the most difficult to define since it can be very subjective in many cases, but in general terms it can be classed as the depictions of violence that would make the viewer feel a sense of revulsion.

   Entertainment Software Ratings Board
   TEEN: Content is generally suitable for ages 13 and up. May contain violence, suggestive themes, crude humor, minimal blood, simulated gambling and/or infrequent use of strong language.
   MATURE: Content is generally suitable for ages 17 and up. May contain intense violence, blood and gore, sexual content and/or strong language.
   ADULTS ONLY: Content suitable only for adults ages 18 and up. May include prolonged scenes of intense violence, graphic sexual content and/or gambling with real currency.
   RATING PENDING: Not yet assigned a final ESRB rating. Appears only in advertising, marketing and promotional materials related to a game that is expected to carry an ESRB rating, and should be replaced by a game's rating once it has been assigned.

   There are manual workarounds for this as well – it can be managed with age-specific permission groups on the Admin Menu → Permissions → Permission Groups area of your site. Adding that and a required question on the application asking a user’s age and you can manually regulate it.

   This is something we’d like to do, but there isn’t currently an API to pull that data from ESO. :( We can pull some data with our add-on, like roster data, but not calendar data.

9. Wiki link display text [[A|B]]

   I would like to be able to display different text than the actual wiki link, so that pages in different categories do not have name collision. For example, on a ArchAge page there is a link to Tradeskills. If we added a link to Tradeskills our WildStar page, it would point to the same page even though we want them to be different. If the wiki syntax [[A|B]] were allowed, we could keep the text the same, but change the targets to WildStarTradeskills and ArchageTradeskills. In the [[A|B]] syntax, A is the target page name and B is the displayed text.

10. Forum, picture uploads

    At the moment you need to add a photo to your library then upload it to the forum. You can't upload from pc straight to forum as picture does not show, even when you copy paste it. How about having an upload button in forums so you can upload without having to add it to your library first.

11. Drama reducing method of dealing with member complaints

    To be able to have a forum where a member could post in a forum that can only be read by a specific moderator group, yet remain non visible to other fellow members would be a most excellent way for guild administrators to handle and track complaints without drama.

    It seems as though the functionality is "almost" there, as the member group and the individual forum settings seem to allow the permissions to be "set that way" but a new post button doesn't appear, only a message saying that the group is unable to read the forum.

14. Read More/Less buttons in articles

    Then I posting news on the guild site, some of them are quite lengthy, especially patch notes and some of the guides. I think this would be good if you could add Read More button to the article, so only digest of the article could be displayed at the news section. Could be quite simply done with jquery.

16. Manual Arranging of Gallery Images

    It would be nice to be able to arrange and rearrange images under the Galleries so that images could be put in sequences that would make more sense. Right now, the first image uploaded is show last, and if more images need to be inserted in the middle of the sequence, the other images have to be deleted and then reloaded after the new inserts to keep the desired sequence. It's very cumbersome.

17. Option to change font and color of recruitment application text when posted to forum.

    Currently when a recruitment application is filled and posted, the text for the question is the same exact font and color as the answers. It would be easier to distinguish between the two if you could customize the color and font directly from the options rather than manually.

18. Give an option to search by realm on the Recruitment pages

    Most people searching for a guild (in WoW .. possibly other games too), will be looking for a guild on a specific server. However, on the http://www.guildlaunch.com/product/recruiting/search/ pages, there is no ability to do that. The only options that come close are "language" and "timezone" ... obviously there are a lot of servers that will cover both of those .. not only that, but it would also cover two seperate subscriptions (US and EU). In addition to this, the timezone option is something that is provided by those making the recruitment advert ... according to those adverts, a lot of the US are on Greenwich Mean Time .... :p

    With the new V5 updates, we aren’t creating game-specific templates (though we will definitely add some Clash of Clans header images that users can pick for their site). :)
