This is an area where Gamer Launch users can suggest ideas on how to improve Gamer Launch functionality! When opening an idea, be sure to check out our Feature Request article for some guidelines.

How can we make Guild Launch better?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. New designs for all us LOTRO players, helms deep have been out for weeks now, and still no HD design!

    a design inspired by the battle at helms deep, with a moving front and a "frozen" background.

  2. Lottery widget and/or virtual currency function

    Just for the record i play EVE Online

    There is one similar post about a lottery idea and another about currency but not quite in the way i was thinking but these two points tie up my idea.

    A tool to upload an amount of ingame currency to a certain member to spend on my site in such events as lotteries and a random number generator tool, possibly only in a forum post for lottery results. An example of how it would work below...

  3. "Crafting" tab on Character Profile (WoW)

    It'd be awesome to be able to sort what can be crafted by professions instead of how it is displayed now, which is kinda messy. It's cool to see it alphabetically, but with professions extremely "populated" as Engineering it gets quite hard to find any particular item

  4. Non-english characters compatibility

    Could it be possible to widen the character compatibility system, so that we can see non-english characters (as ó) the right way? I'd love to be able to read my druid's name "Däkzul" complete instead of just "D", or our guild name "Resurrección" instead of "Resurrecci%F3n"

  5. include an Auto feature for gathering Faction Information from Importing

    When importing from Rift Game. Both Factions, Guardian and Defiant are allowed in the same Guild for Rift Game. This is not right. All the "Imported" players are set as Defiant or Guardian. No 'Auto' Option.

  6. Set Main Character

    I'd like to have the possibility to pick one of my characters and set it as my main so that it becomes the default character, instead of having to use the dropdown menu every time 'cause my main is not the first one alphabetically.

  7. Live Stream Widget/Custom Page

    Looking to get a Livestream Widget or "Custom Page" created

    This addon could be a widget or an admin panel addon.

    The feature would be "Create Live Stream" or "Add Live Streams"

    When you add the live stream it lets you put a live stream link ie Twitch.tv as well as a custom thumbnail/banner for the live stream. It would have a Live Stream title as well. The addon would display say 1-5-7-9 Streams like the "RSS" Feeds" but it would show if they are "Live" or "Offline" and would have the custom thumbnails. IF you created the "Custom Page"…

  8. Social Media Links/Icons Top Bar

    Looking to add "Twitter, Facebook, Twitch.tv, Youtube, or other Account Icons/accounts to the "Social Media" bar at the top of my website I have a bar with a Home Icon, and if I "enable social media" It will display a Google + and facebook "likes" icon, I want to have more options I want to either "A" be able to manually add another Icon/social media or "B" have them included into the admin section

    Things needed include

    Twitter
    Twitch
    Youtube

    I don't want to put an ugly widget on my site that I could create manually I would like it…

  10. Scrolling (left to right) customizable text News Bar

    For 'Vital Updates to Guild/Fleet' to be shown in top middle of Guild Homepages >> Widget preferably.

    I used to PUT one into my website via HTML Editor Widget, then this website began to automatically reject it, it would never show again, no matter what I did.

    Would be nice to just have a Widget for such a basic News Bar/'News Flash' idea....

    This is not something that we are currently planning to implement on our end, but there is definitely functionality in place for some third party widgets like you’re describing through the HTML widget and the Google Gadget widget.

  11. Responsive, Bootstrap Template

    Guild Launch looks terrible on tablets and smartphones, and is even more of a nightmare to navigate (necessity to zoom in and out to read and navigate, etc.).

    Is there any possibility that you will be working on HTML 5 responsive layouts possibly built on the Bootstrap Framework, or allow for modules to be imported within custom Bootstrap templates that people design themselves?

    While we aren’t looking into this specifically, we did recently update the way GL sites look on mobile. :)

  12. Participation Tracking for promotions

    My guild operates by having a system where I track individual players actions based on a point system similar to DKP. This allows me to assign points to players that go to events or simply help out new players to get involved. I'd like a system to allow my officers to assign "participation" points to players on the site and allow a system to track that to integrate to the promotions value.

    This will allow my guild to easily track who should get promoted based on actual participation in the guild automatically.

  16. Widget for SW:TOR conquests (part of upcoming game update 2.9)

    I am not sure how exactly it would be structured.
    But something with information on the current planet we are invading (set by the guild leader).
    Progress (which resets each week)
    and past progress
    Since it is only on the PTS right now there has not bee much officially put out but this may give more information

  18. Ability to add an end time to rapid raid and calendar

    This is for both the calendar and rapid raid.
    Currently you are only able to show the starting time.
    It would be nice to be able to designate both a starting time and an ending time.

  19. Responsive and allerting Chat room

    The Chat room should be responsive allowing the window and text to change when you re size your window.
    This will allow players to move the chat window next to their game window.

    The internet icon should turn orange when someone posts a new message in the chat, and not just add sounds (some games are loud)

    You should also see a number pop up beside the chat menu item stating the # of messages you have not seen yet.

    This is something we may revisit in a future release, but isn’t currently planned to be in a development sprint.

  20. Wiki Search Bar Placement

    I think the link to the wiki search bar is a silly and unnecessary extra step that doesn't serve a real purpose. Instead of having the link, please use the actual search field. in the wiki nav section.

    For example, the current setup of the wiki nav section is:

    Home
    Search ( link that goes to JUST a search bar, nothing else)
    List Pages
    Help

    Instead, you should have it:
    [______________] (Search Field)

    Help
