I'm evaluating several similar services right now and you use my alias as the primary logon ID, not my email address. However mine is taken. So every time I go to sign up for a sample account, I get mad that my name is taken and I return to evaluating your competitors.
Yes I'm aware that there is some way to later change the name that displays on my posts, this changes nothing for the initial signup process / conversion.1 vote
This is not feasible for our system. I’m sorry that it has caused you some inconvenience, as this is not our intention.I’m going to go ahead and paste GL_Stephen’s comment for a more in-depth explanation.
“Our system allows people to be members of multiple sites and for users to PM each other by name. This requires unique names. Due to the sheer number of sites that host with us, and the millions of registered users that we have, there is some contention for names. That being said, the system also allows for a simple guild tag after your name to make a unique and not ugly name. Your name can also be updated, so if your guild changes you can update the tag part.”
Could you widen the "Current links" edit page? The icons to sort, delete, and edit end up running to the next line and kind of get cluttered. It looks like there is plenty of space to widen it.
We are downplaying the Links list altogether in favor of the HTML widget to make things more straightforward.
I would like to see a feature added for when a member joins that there would be no approval needed.1 vote
This is not currently planned functionality; the use of a Launch Code to forgo the application process automates the approval process to simplify it for the user, but having no approval process opens up a number of issues.
This is a bit off the wall, but how about a Guild Launch Theme pack for Windows Vista/7? I wouldn't mind setting my background for a Guild Launch Theme set.1 vote
We’re looking into a Guild Launch template, but a theme pack is not currently planned functionality.
letting us have are own design for are own profile and having the home screen have the homepage the leader set it to.1 vote
There are currently plans underway for some changes to the user profile, but letting users design it themselves is currently not planned functionality.
Some users have requested being able to link the Polls widget and forum polls. Discuss here!1 vote
It’s been over a month and no one has voted for this, so I’m going to go ahead and remove it.
A simple widget that shows the user currently logged on.
Ideal for a side column widget. It should show:
Rank on Site
number of private messages unread
link to edit profile
link to edit character
link to pending guild apps (Only visible if you have such permission)
Most of this is already available on the top menu bar. I’ll talk to our developers about making it more prominent, but I don’t think it’s going to be taking the form of a widget.
An import guild roster from SWTOR option1 vote
This is something we would love to be able to do, but SWTOR has not opened up the API for third parties to gather this information. Until they do, we will not be able to implement this feature, but we are keeping a close eye on it! Hopefully with 1.2 we can do something more.
A forum currency feature for members to barter with would be neat. currency can be traded on the forums between players for in game items and services, etc.1 vote
I’m declining this for now, as it’s not currently planned to implement a spendable currency, but we are looking into the possibility of a reputation system for posts and the like.
I'd like to see a more clearly organized view for rapid raid signups. One that would allow you to see at a quick glance what classes you have signed up. Right now with the list format it all kind of bleeds together. Perhaps allowing admins to set up archetype sorting or simply dividing the classes more clearly.1 vote
We are glad to look into updating our interface and will look into it, but am declining this request at the moment; this may bubble back up in a future release.
can we get aurebesh font for swtor websites1 vote
This is not currently planned.
It would be very helpful if you could sort DKP Adjustments by the various components. We have hundreds of them and, when there is a problem, it can take quite a while to research the issue. Thanks1 vote
This is not currently planned functionality.
When you go to a site, it makes a little tab on your browser, so you can switch between sites. On that tab on any guildlaunch website, theres a mouse-over description, I would like to be able to change that mouse-over description to something more desirable to my site and me specifically. You can also see the description without mouse-overing it, but it gets cut off after a few characters in length when using default tab sizes.1 vote
This is something we’ve discussed in the past, but it is not currently planned functionality.
the upper ad is enough ,this website seemed pretty good to host my guild but i won't because of that right side ad ,such thing is not tolerable1 vote
While I apologize for any inconvenience the ads caused, this is not an option that we will be changing.
This appears to expire after a couple of hours of non-browsing. It is INCREDIBLY annoying to have to log in every couple of hours when I just want to refresh the forums. I check off "keep me logged in" and it obviously does not. This is repeatable across every browser. Cookies have been cleared, it has been done on other computers, same issue. Please look at extending the cookie timeout.1 vote
This is a more of a bug report than a feature request – can you send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and let me know what browser you’re using? I’ll look into it.
We want to give our ppl 1 dkp if they sign ups as unavailable,( to get ppl to start signing when they cant raid). But there is no easy way to aword the people that signed as unavailable dkp1 vote
You can do this manually with adjustments; this is not currently functionality we intend to implement.
I think a widget to easier display planned maintenance down times for the game to the members would be very helpful1 vote
It’s a good idea conceptually, but actually implementing it would be a problem – the information isn’t readily available in a port-able format. This can be done manually with an HTML widget, though!
The current CountDown system doesnt calculate the timezones GMT, meaning that people with different timezones wont have the same hours left untill the designated time. If there were a fix on this CountDown, it could be used to provide exact times for guild events, parties, meetings, etc. An improvement on a simple tool like this can be usefull in a lots of ways depending on your imagination.1 vote
This is not currently planned.
Allow the admin to set a function such as "Display Character Name as Profile Name" or something to that affect. Right now I have my Character Name / Profile Name / Guild Rank on EVERY post I make. Why can I not just have my Character Name which hyperlinks to my Guild Launch Account name instead of having both?1 vote
This is not currently planned functionality – it can lead to potential security issues (at the very least, making a character with the same name as another member’s username could cause confusion and drama) within the system.
It would be great to be able to see users who have viewed a post. Something accessible through the admin site or able to be toggled on and off just for the time you are looking. This would eliminate the "I didnt see that" excuse would be amazing!1 vote
This is not something we are currently planning to implement, but we may revisit it in the future.
