While we hope that you never have to cancel a subscription, things can happen that make it necessary: financial difficulties, a guild disbanding, the current subscription owner getting bored of a particular game, etc.
Fortunately, since all our payments are processed through PayPal, cancelling an active Guild Launch subscription is a fairly straightforward process.
IF YOU DID NOT USE YOUR PAYPAL ACCOUNT TO SET UP THE SUBSCRIPTION
If you did not use your PayPal account to sign up for the subscription, then PayPal created a guest subscription for that is linked to your email address and to your credit/debit card, but not necessarily a specific PayPal account. This can (understandably!) cause some confusion when trying to cancel.
Just send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know - we can get it cancelled. :)
IF YOU USED YOUR PAYPAL ACCOUNT TO SET UP THE SUBSCRIPTION
If you did use your PayPal account to set up the subscription, then you can log into your PayPal account and cancel it there:
- Log into PayPal.
- Click the Profile icon (it's a gear at the top right of the site) to access your PayPal profile.
- Click 'Preapproved Payments' under 'Payment Settings'.
(NOTE: If you have more than one guild site with Guild Launch, or have a subscription for a voice server and a guild site, make sure you are cancelling the right subscription!)
