How can we improve our V5 options?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  3. Define the forum board with headers for each new category

    I feel that the forums need a little more defining in style / layout.
    I have 3 categories within my forums using V5, Public, Guild and Officers, and when you look at the page with all the forum boards on it, it just looks like a screen of text. Changing the colour of the site doesn't help. Is there a way of, say for example, breaking up the three categories with a defined header or something, to make it easier to identify where the public forums end and the guild forums start and so on?

  5. Add an "Officer's only" widget visibility option

    A fourth option in widget visibility options to include showing widget to only "officers" or "moderators", etc. would be a nice thing to have. Could be based on a member's ranking or a permission group.

  6. Store and retrieve previous Newsletters for edits

    V4 Newsletters are clunky and time consuming to write up.
    This could be at least eased, if we could store and retrieve previously sent Newsletters or Newsletter columns, edit them, then add them to the current Newsletter.

    Additionally, Newsletters are currently going into the Promotions tab or Spam folder by default.

    I don't write these clunky things up just for my health. Is there a plan to fix this? Maybe send the Newsletter from my own guild page's address, rather than having it flagged as a promotion from Guild launch / Gamer launch?

  7. Ability to import WoW ingame calendar events into the sites calendar

    It would be awesome if we could import the events created in the in-game calendar of WoW to the calendar of the guildsite. I believe this can be done, as calendar things are visible on the armory also, and actually believe that some of your rivals are already doing this.

    Currently the calendar funtion on the site is pretty much useless, since it's tedious having to manually create the same events both in-game and then again for the sites calendar.

    I'm not asking for a two way sync, as that's probably not possible. Only the ability to import data one…

  8. Spoiler button to show/hide large amounts of text

    Normally when working with source code you can create a link class and create a button that hides a large amount of text (like a proper spoiler, not black it out) so it doesn't have to take up so much space when skimming through the post (and it makes you able to hide large pictures unless people actually wants to view them).

  9. ipad issue

    when accessing the site using an ipad the menu bar at the top has the user/profile icon too far to the right, 50% off the screen, making using it rather tricky.

  11. Guild Roster sortability by last logged in date

    It would be good to be able to sort the member roster by last logged in date. Ideally this sort option would be default, in GET query so we can link to it directly.

  12. Repeating Events on Calendar

    Since the upgrade of the calendar, there is no way to make "All Day Event" and "Day Note" repeat. Many in game events are a week long, and it was nice to be able to enter a day note as repeating every day for a week without having to enter it seven times. Now this is only available for regular events.

  13. Site Mode: Guest View

    Site Modes are currently, "Live Site", "Edit Widgets", "Manage Styles". Since I can restrict some items/widgets to members/non-members, I have a need to see how my site looks to non-members.

    This is currently only doable by logging out to view the page as a guest would, then logging back in if I want to make changes.

    Solution:
    + Site Mode; Guest View

    While in Guest View the user will only see items/widgets that would be visible to non-members of their site.

  14. Editing Wiki, PVP, Calendar-Loss of Function

    In V4, when you go to any of the above links-PVP, Wiki, and Calendar (maybe more, that's what I've tried), in the left column appears links so you can edit them. None of that stuff is appearing in V5 beta. So in order to edit my KOS list, for example, I have to switch to V4, or use the widget to access it.

    I assume it's a widget that just isn't appearing in V5, and I don't see one like it when I go to add a widget by hand.

  15. videos on the widgets on the left side of main window go half way behind the middle section.

    fix widgets on left so a video does not go behind main middle section,you lose half the video,

  16. custom header issue

    im using a custom header for my site, it keeps cutting the top and bottom off, making it look horrible. i have even tried resizing it, still looks horrible, not happy with the look, using old version till its fixed.

  17. The text areas need to allow for various font sizes and fonts. A story widget would be great like the one used on guildportal.com.

  18. Improve Customization Options

    We are planning a single overhaul to customization options including greater control of major blocks, fonts, page backgrounds, etc. To that end we have merged feedback related into this single item.

  19. Guild name missing from banner in beta version

    The site name in global settings doesn't show up over the banner if using the version 5 (beta) of the site. It shows correctly in version 4 however.

    The image logo is something that the dev team is looking into, but in the meantime you can generate one on our signature creator at www.siglaunch.com !

  20. Delete unwanted logos

    If we upload a logo that is messed up, or corrupted in some way, we need the ability to delete that logo so that others can be added.
