How can we improve the Unfavinator?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. delete all the favorites at once

    by just clicking on a button which makes us able to delete all the favorites so it doesn't take that long to delete all the favorites anymore.

    SELECT ALL FAVORITES AT ONCE AND DELETE THEM AND AFTER ABOUT THREE DAYS THEY'LL BE GONE

  4. Check box

    Hi,

    This tool is something I've been looking for awhile now; thank you for making this!

    My idea is simple, a checkbox for more of a "select all" option would make this go faster for those users who have years of favorites accumulated on their pages.

  5. Add a search

    For the Unfavinator, what you have now replicates clicking the yellow star on the Twitter Favorites page (except I can't follow a link to make sure I do want to get rid of this one...). What would make this very much worth while would be a way to search, for a user or a hashtag or just words in the tweet, and see a filtered list of favorites. Then delete them, either one-by-one as now or selecting batches - or even better, Select All and then unselect the few I want to keep.

    The twitter API does not currently allow searches, but we have added a username filter and it is now available and we will look at other options like phrase or hashtag.

  6. Maximise the number of tweets on a page

    I want to keep specific tweets faved but as I go on deleting they gradually build up and the amount of tweets I can unfav gets less which takes ahes

  7. Longer buffer period and twitter app permissions question

    Hi!

    I love your app! It's one of my favorite apps to use with Twitter. Thanks for all of your hard work!

    I have a suggestion to change the rate of deletion. It would be nice to have the favorites deleted every hour instead of every 5 minutes.

    I was wondering about your app's permissions. I see that it allows Read & Write. I just had an unknown post RT'ed by my account and I've become weary about all of the apps I use. I have revoked most apps that I do not use often. Why is your app allowed…

    We don’t post on your behalf. The permissions we have are the default, but we will evaluate whether they can be reduced further.

  9. Mobile App

    Hey, I love unfavinator, it makes my life easier. I'm wondering if you guys thought of creating a mobile app! Frequently I have a few minutes of free time commuting and I would definitely use the app. I would be happy to pay for the subscription too :)

  12. Timer to delete

    You can put a timer in the code to delete each favorite in every second.

    Hello! This is probably one of the greatest and most useful tools ever! However its kinda time consuming for someone like me who has 30k+ favorites to just keep clicking the X button over and over. So, I suggest the Idea of a Select All button so its eaiser and a LOT LESS Time consuming! Thanks again!

  14. Sort oldest favorites first

    UF shows favorites newest->oldest, I suggest a 'SORT' option to reverse this and show them oldest->newest

    UNFAVINATOR WON'T ALLOW ME TO ACCESS OLDER TWEETS TO UNFAVORITE, PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP! I WANT ALL MY TWEETS UNFAVORITED! I KNOW THERE ARE MORE AND THEY EXIST, SO IT'S NOT A NUMBER BUG WITH TWITTER - UNFAVINATOR WON'T ALLOW ME TO GET TO OLDER TWEETS!

    When you view your favorites on your twitter profile do you see the tweets that are missing? Twitter does have a bug where they don’t show certain older favorites on the twitter site or via API. Those favorites will not show on your actual twitter profile either.

    If you provide your twitter name then I can look into it further.

  20. I need to undo 7000+ favorites

    I got down to under 4000 favorites and it isn't pulling any of the rest of the favorites up for me to delete!

    Twitter has a rate limit and seemingly a limit to the number of favorites that can be removed at once. Try again in 24 hours. if they are still not visible then they may not be deletable vai the API. Sorry I can’t give a more deimfinitve answer this seems to be on Twitter’s end.
